I bought this for my DeWalt fan as the batteries I was using (the ones that come with the drills) didn’t last long enough. I use to travel with two of the drill batteries and they would both be dead by the end of the day with the fan on low. So far, I have used this battery three weekends in a row and it has lasted with the fan on low-medium for two days in a row without charging. I would say run time for the fan is between 6-8 hours (on and off several times) each day as I use it at trials for my dogs. It’s a bit heavier than my drill batteries, but not too bad. I love that you can see how much charge is left by pressing a button. It also doesn’t take long to charge!

    I highly recommend the 6ah over the 5ah battery. I purchased a 6ah a few months after having purchased a 5ah for my new 7 1/4" BCS570B , I recommend the 6ah over the 5ah its a big difference in performance. I wish dewalt would recommend the best battery option for each tool and its performance .
